About Us

Unlicensed Electricity Generation Association was established on May 2012 in Turkey. The goals of UEPA are to ensure the development and operation of unlicensed electricity generation in Turkey, to support individuals, companies and organizations working to this end and to work on increasing the use of electricity in Turkey. In addition, we want to lead in the formation of various regulatory standards of unlicensed electricity generation in Turkey.

With this objective, our association aims to generate the mutual benefits of  good relations with companies that provide solutions, subscribers, electricity distribution companies and public authorities.

UEGA is covering different electricity production sources including wind, solar, hydro and biomass and supporting those having the opportunity to produce their own electricity.

Among the founding members, UEGA has important representatives of wind, solar, biomass, law, and education sectors of Turkey.

We encourage companies to be sustainable and increase their profitability by generating their own electricity because this way Turkey’s dependency rate could decrease by up to %70 in the most important sector: energy.

In order for a good individual, institutional structure and future of our country, we encourage Turkey to generate its own electricity.

We invite you to move together with us with this objective.

President,
Yalçın Kıroğlu
